2002 Jeep Jamboree 03/01,02,03/02

Got the Jeep loaded on the trailer ready to roll! This is the 9th Annual Y.O. Ranch Jeep Jamboree, and the third Jamboree that I've attended.
We arrived early enough that we were able to score a sweet spot at the Y.O. campground. We set up camp and save a few spaces for Gordon who arrived a little later that evening.
Just the obligatory "before" shot... Most of the pictures here are "poser" shots. I was too busy driving to get very many "action' shots. I also made more of an effort to get the action shots on video. I should be able to capture some good stills from that. But, until then, enjoy what I've got.
Here's the first pictures of the bumper that I made. As well as the new winch! You can click here for a close-up.
This is our group lining up on Friday morning just before heading to Chalk Bluff.
O'le Blue ready for some action. This is my dad's first time to drive in a Jeep Jamboree. You can see his black TJ behind my Jeep.
4X4FUN and the "Black Jeep of the Family" after climbing the first hill on the way over to Chalk Bluff. I was ready to pull out the strap and pull the newbie up the hill. But dad was right behind me. I wasn't even able to get a picture because he came up so fast...
If you look closely behind us, there is Kerry Smith's Jeep Liberty. I was really amazed at how well the Liberty did on the trails. He suffered a little rocker panel damage, and one of his kids lobbed a rock into the door, but other than that the Liberty was relatively unscathed.
Another angle of the Liberty parked next to Tim Sage's "War Pig". Tim made short work of all the obstacles that the trail guides could throw at him.
The white group lining up before going to "Dead Buffalo". I kept looking for said buffalo, but never found it.
Unless you're the lead dog, the view never changes!
Taking a breather on "Lost Creek"
Gordon playing around at "The Playground"
Todd at the playground
This is Rollover hill. It got is name from a couple years back when a Jeep popped a bead on his right-rear tire and then laid on it's side.
Starting to climb...
Half-way there.
Cresting the top.
And OVER! No problem...
My Dad and I after tearing up the climbs at the playground
