Way back in 1999 I had an itch that needed to be scratched. That itch was a 1996 Hummer H1 Wagon. I purchased the Hummer from Rountree Motorsports in Austin, TX. Owning a (real) Hummer is a unique experience. If you crave attention, this is the vehicle for you. You can't go to the gas station without playing 20 Questions.

I owned the Hummer for 2.5 years and decided that I had spent enough of my money on this truck. I found a buyer that really wanted the truck and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. So, I unloaded all my junk and turned the keys over to the new owner years ago.

With the money from the sale of the Hummer, I was able to Purchase a Ford F350 AND a Jeep to go wheeling in. I just couldn't bring myself to trash the Hummer off-road as it was my daily driver and I couldn't afford to be without it to have trail repairs made.
